Friends from the past

Have you ever wondered what would happen if we didn't have Facebook or Twitter? Would you even talk to 75% of the people you are "friends" with? Let me answer that for you...Probably not. I am glad we have Facebook. I get to share my joys in life with people and very rarely I will share my lows. Today however I am dedicating my Blog to an outstanding, hilarious, beautiful friend of mine, Krisy. I doubt I would have stayed in touch with this amazing human being without Facebook. We went to beauty school together. We probably dealt with more drama in beauty school than we ever have in our lives.

As you can tell by the picture we were just awesome. She said on Facebook today she was going to start a blog. I laughed and said that was funny because I just started one. She stated mine would be better because hers will be about nothing. I doubt it will be about nothing and I would love to read it. She has to have something to write about. I mean I am going on and on about Facebook, Her, beauty school, and so on. I am almost positive she could make her WHOLE blog about things people say while in her chair getting their hair done. So here is my blog about nothing dedicated to Krisy, who is definitely far from nothing. :)

Love you girlie and I have all my hair books too:)

Angel Wings

For the first time ever, I opened up my computer logged onto Facebook, saw the first post, closed my computer, and went into my bathroom and cried. One of my dear friends from chorale, Carrie Doerr ,lost her daughter, Eva, around 3am. Eva had Trisomy 18. She was just over a month old. This news broke my heart. As you can see from my picture on the left Eva was baptized by her father. This was so important to many people in Eva's life. We now know Eva will have no more suffering as she is in Jesus' arms in Heaven.

I put my kids to bed tonight with an extra hug. Thanking God that They are here, and healthy, and safe. I am also feeling down. I all of a sudden began to picture my life with out my kids. The pain and sadness I felt for those few minutes could never compare to the parents that have to bury their children at a young age. So tonight, before I fall asleep, I will pray for all mothers and fathers that have had to bury a child. I will say a very special prayer to little Eva. You may have only been here a short time but you have left an impact on your families lives and hearts forever:)

sigh...

This Blogging is hard work. Not the part where my wondering mind can't think of anything to say or write, but the part of figuring out how to add pictures, tabs, and all the other fun stuff. I forgot I even started a "blog" four years ago. Glad I found it though and can now restart it up and try and figure it all out. I hope not to bore to many of you. I just hope this will help us all stay in touch seeing as how our families are spread all over the place. So, enjoy, I will try to figure out more of this blogging stuff very soon. Probably tonight after my monkeys stop jumping on the couch:)
